In Irkutsk, a Renault Logan driver crashed into the tram stop "Detskaya" on Napolnaya Street on May 14. As a result of the accident, both the driver and a pedestrian who was at the stop were hospitalized. As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on May 16, the blood alcohol content of the 26-year-old driver exceeded the norm by 2.5 times.
The company clarified that the cooperation has been terminated without the right to reinstate, and noted that at the time of the accident, the driver was not fulfilling an order but was driving for personal reasons.
The service reported that the company stickers cannot be removed from the car without damage, so it is economically unfeasible for a driver using their own vehicle to remove them each time they use the vehicle for personal purposes.
An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the driver under the articles "Driving a vehicle by a driver in a state of intoxication" and "Minor hooliganism." The presumed culprit of the accident faces a fine of 30,000 rubles, as well as administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
