A milk festival with a fair sale, tastings and entertainment will be held in Irkutsk. The official opening will be at 12 00 near the Trud Sports Palace, and organizers want to promote a healthy lifestyle and local dairy products. It is also reported that by May 2016 gross milk yield in the region reached 110 thousand tons.
As reported by the press service of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, the event is expected to include a dairy products fair-sale, tastings, and entertainment activities.The official opening of the celebration is scheduled for 12:00 near the Trud Sports Palace. The event, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, reviving the public’s culture of consuming dairy products, and supplying the consumer market with high-quality locally produced dairy products, was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Irkutsk Region.
According to the ministry, as of May 2016, gross milk yield amounted to 110 thousand tons, the press service of the Governor of the Irkutsk Region and the Government of the Irkutsk Region reports.
