A female employee of one of the Irkutsk travel agencies embezzled clients' funds for herself and purchased vacation packages for her relatives. Clients learned of the fraud just before their departure at Irkutsk airport.- According to the investigation, in June-July 2015, she entered into a number of contracts with citizens for tourist trips to Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam, - reported the Prosecutor's Office of the Irkutsk region. - However, she took no measures to book or pay for the tourist tours.
Among the deceived are six residents of Irkutsk, with the total amount of embezzled funds reaching nearly 600,000 rubles. The case regarding the fraud and misappropriation of entrusted property has been sent to court.
