On a 5,000-square-meter site in the area where Tsesovskaya Naberezhnaya Street and Gagarin Boulevard meet under the Glazkovsky Bridge, a free parking lot will be equipped. It will be ready by June 1. At present, the site is being prepared for asphalt laying. The parking lot construction work is being carried out within the framework of a public-private partnership. The site will have two entrances — from the bridge exit and from Gagarin Boulevard; curbs, additional fencing, and lighting will be installed there. In addition, repairs to the under-bridge structures are planned.
- The center of Irkutsk needs additional parking spaces. This parking lot will be convenient for many car owners. We will continue working to find other sites and equip them as parking lots, - said city head Dmitry Berdnikov.
