As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Irkutsk Region, the incident occurred on May 29. Due to an unsuccessful maneuver by the driver, the jet ski and the banana boat it was towing overturned about 150 meters from the shore. Three young people and a six-year-old child ended up in the water.Fortunately, the witnesses to what happened were State Inspectorate for Small Vessels inspectors who were patrolling the Irkutsk Reservoir area. They pulled the people out of the water and towed the banana boat and jet ski to shore.
As it turned out, the operator of the watercraft did not have a vessel license for the jet ski, and the craft was not registered in the prescribed manner. For this, the driver has been brought to administrative responsibility.
