A fire occurred in Irkutsk on the night of June 17, resulting in the burning of a Honda Avancier on Siberian Partisans Street. The fire, which may have been arson, was extinguished in 20 minutes, but the car was severely damaged. Since early 2016, the city has recorded over 10 cases of vehicle fires, including two taxis.
In Irkutsk, on the night of June 17, a Honda Avancier burned on Sibirskikh Partizan Street. The fire in the vehicle's engine compartment occurred at 03:00 near house No. 13.The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. However, the foreign car was severely damaged. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Irkutsk region, as a result of the fire, combustible parts were destroyed over an area of one square meter.
Experts from the agency do not rule out that the cause of the Honda's ignition could have been arson. Nine people and two units of equipment participated in the firefighting efforts. The exact cause and damage are being determined by experts.
Since the beginning of 2016, more than 10 cars have burned in Irkutsk, including two belonging to the taxi ordering service "Maksim."
