A Council of Young Specialists based at the city administration will be created in Irkutsk in 2009.
On Friday, at a meeting of the City Duma, this was reported by Dmitry Abramovich, head of the Department for Youth Affairs and the Protection of Minors’ Rights of the Irkutsk administration. The council’s activities this year will be aimed mainly at holding seminars, competitions, round tables, and intellectual contests.
The “Council of Young Specialists” community based at the city administration ceased to exist more than 6 years ago, however, movements uniting young people have remained at large enterprises. The Department for Youth Affairs decided to develop the movement and take it beyond the framework of corporate programs. Out of 200 personnel departments, 25 Irkutsk enterprises accepted the administration’s proposal, and at present 250 people have already joined the community of young specialists. It will be finally formed according to the structure of the city student council, which has proven its effectiveness.
