At a meeting in Angarsk with mayoral adviser on law enforcement Vladimir Rogov, they decided to use a new measure against drug dealers, to seize housing if it is used for other than its intended purpose. This applies to municipal apartments and privately owned real estate. In Irkutsk region there have been no such evictions yet, but officers intend to develop an algorithm and begin work.
The day before, a meeting was held in Angarsk with the mayor of the AMO’s adviser on law enforcement, Vladimir Rogov. At it, a decision was made that housing would be taken away from Angarsk drug dealers.“Using housing for purposes other than intended is the first step toward losing it,” said the mayor’s adviser. “And this applies both to municipal housing and to housing owned by a citizen.”
According to the press service of the Angarsk municipal district, the law allows housing to be seized, but in the Irkutsk region there have been no cases of eviction yet. The operatives intend to correct this, in their view, injustice. To talk about their developments and about the possibility of using the scheme in the Angarsk district, regional officials took part in the meeting at the municipality. All that remains is to develop an algorithm and begin work.
