In Irkutsk, Italian architects will build a 12 story building using their own technology near Kirov Square, behind the Angara hotel. A new 12-story building will be built by Italian architects using Italian technologies. It will appear not far from Kirov Square, behind the Angara Hotel. This will be the first building in the history of Irkutsk to be built directly by Italians. Compliance with all standards adopted in the construction of such facilities will be monitored by Irkutskgrazhdanproekt. The exact start and completion dates of the work, as well as the approximate cost, have not yet been announced. It is known that the funds will be invested mainly by Italian investors. As part of this project, the facade of Irkutsk’s oldest hotel, the Angara, will be renovated. This will be completed at least by 211, the anniversary year of the city of Irkutsk.
– We are interested and pleased to take part in this project. First of all, the interest is in spreading Italian ideas, cultural traditions and design, technologies in Russia, namely beyond the Urals, in Siberia, - said Domenico Malaro, architect.
– An Italian Cultural Center will also be built on the basis of our hotel complex. And if we build a modern five-star hotel 12 stories high, I think that practically all events held in our city, including such a major one as the economic forum, we will be able to hold in the city center, in our new building, - noted Valery Ostrovsky, general director of the Angara hotel complex.
