In Irkutsk, entrepreneurs who do not keep adjacent areas clean were given a final deadline until the end of the week, after which fines will begin, up to 25 thousand rubles for one inspection. At the meeting, examples were shown of neglected areas near stores, offices and even individual institutions, and it was also reminded that the city is being prepared for the May holidays. The authorities urged businesses not only to remove trash, but also, if possible, to decorate their entrances with bins and flowers to make the city more festive and improve the image of companies.
According to the press service of the Irkutsk city administration, entrepreneurs who do not keep the areas belonging to them clean will be fined.“Today we will not fine entrepreneurs for trash and dirt in adjacent areas, but this is our final warning and an offer to remove your garbage by the end of the week,” said Dmitry Grishak, head of the Pravoberezhny District, today at a meeting with the heads of commercial firms in the district on the joint preparation of the Kirovsky and Kуйbyshevsky districts for the May holidays.
Before the meeting began, the entrepreneurs were shown a slide show clearly illustrating the deplorable condition of the areas near some commercial firms, shops, and pavilions. Moreover, in addition to retail enterprises, the blacklist included the pedagogical university, the Irkutsk bakery plant, the car market in Rabocheye, and even the forensic laboratory of the Internal Affairs Directorate at 54 Barrikad Street.
“And each of the areas shown has its own specific owner,” Dmitry Grishak emphasized. “So here is your deadline until the end of the week, and starting next week we will begin fining to the full extent of the law — that is about 25,000 rubles for one inspection. The Kirovsky and Kуйbyshevsky district police departments, the housing and utilities departments, the administrative commission, and the environmental protection and ecological safety department will be involved in the raids. If one inspection doesn’t help, we’ll do another. We will make you clean it up anyway, but I would like you yourselves to understand that our common goal is to prepare the city for the May holidays.” In conclusion, employees of the Committee for Urban Planning Policy introduced the heads of enterprises to the city decoration projects for the May holidays and suggested that entrepreneurs, as far as their means allow, decorate their offices and adjacent areas. In particular, at least two trash bins should be placed near each office entrance, and preferably portable planters with decorative flowers. After all, this not only gives the city a festive look, but also works for the image of each individual company.
