The Irkutsk KVN team Baikal failed to reach the semifinals of the Premier League. In the second quarterfinal in Moscow it scored 11.4 points and was eliminated from the title race. The game was devoted to love, and the biathlon contest was especially hard for the team, where it got only 0.2 points. Despite the setback, Baikal will still perform for Irkutsk audiences, and the quarterfinal itself will be shown in early May.
The Irkutsk KVN team “Baikal,” a source of great pride, unfortunately did not live up to the hopes of local fans this time and was eliminated yesterday from the competition in the Premier League. The second quarterfinal took place in Moscow, where our players did not perform at their best. Before leaving for the capital, the “Baikal” team gave a concert for KVN fans in Irkutsk. The program included some numbers that the team also performed in the Moscow game. The Irkutsk audience was pleased.
The “Baikal” team left a week ago to compete for the title of Premier League champion. Yesterday our team played for a place in the semifinals.
The game was dedicated to love. It was called “Love, KVN and Spring.” The jury consisted of people united by their love for the game — Leonid Yarmolnik, Andrei Makarevich, Mikhail Efremov, Yuli Gusman, Konstantin Ernst.
There was no warm-up in the quarterfinal game, which was not the most pleasant news for “Baikal”; instead, there was a biathlon contest. In this contest, the Irkutsk team scored only 0.2 points.
Based on the results of four contests, the Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude team scored 11.4 points. Fewer than their competitors — Triod and Diode (Smolensk) — 13.8, Primy (Kursk) — 13.8, STEPiKo (Novosibirsk) — 12.6, Fyodor Dvinyatin (Moscow) — 11.8. Thus, the Baikal KVN players are no longer contenders for the championship title this year. Teams from Kursk, Smolensk, Novosibirsk, and Moscow will compete for it.
However, the KVN team “Baikal” will continue to delight Irkutsk audiences, who sincerely worry about and support them.
You will be able to watch the Second Quarterfinal of the KVN Premier League, in which the Irkutsk KVN players took part, at the beginning of May.
