In Irkutsk, under the Social Price campaign, social shops and hair salons are already operating, where low income residents can get services at a significant discount. From May 1, five social canteens will be added, where a set lunch will cost 40 to 50 rubles. If the project proves popular, city authorities promise to expand the network of such places.
Today, as part of the “Social Price” campaign, the Irkutsk city administration’s social shops and hair salons are operating. Thus, 9 hair salons of the “Bytovik” association are providing their services in different districts of the city to low-income residents (pensioners, students, the unemployed) at a significant discount. For example, a haircut here can be had for half price.However, the city administration decided not to stop there. Starting May 1, social canteens will also begin operating in the city. For now, five will open.
Of course, no delicacies will be offered here. But during the allotted 2-3 hours a day, one will be able to have a set lunch for 40-50 rubles. The dishes will be made from the cheapest products with a minimal markup (up to 30%).

- canteen “12 months”, 18 Polenov St. (Kuybyshevsky district);
- café “Kontora”, 5 Oktyabrskoy Revolyutsii St. (Bus Station building);
If the social canteens prove popular with the city’s residents, their number will increase.
