In Irkutsk, a 20 year old woman in her seventh month of pregnancy was detained, again accused of drug trafficking. She had previously been detained with her mother in law, but after release on recognizance not to leave, investigators say she returned to her former activity. Now the case is being prepared for court, and her pregnancy and young children may be taken into account at sentencing.

An Irkutsk woman who is in her 7th month of pregnancy has been detained for drug trafficking. This woman has been accused of this crime more than once.
Dealing on Beloborodova Street has been going on for more than a year and brings in a good income. In the fall of last year, the police had already detained the 20-year-old woman and her 58-year-old mother-in-law. However, then, taking into account her pregnancy and the presence of a 2-year-old child, the drug dealer was released on a written undertaking not to leave. But she immediately returned to her old ways.
Recently, the dealer, who is already in her seventh month of pregnancy, was detained again by drug police, the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Irkutsk Region reports.
She is now being held in a pretrial detention center. In April, the case will be sent to court. The court may consider the presence of a young child and her pregnancy as mitigating circumstances. By the time the sentence is handed down, the drug dealer will already have two minor children.
