In Irkutsk, two young robbers burst into a jewelry store in broad daylight, but their raid was stopped by guard Roman Kazakov, who despite being wounded managed to stop the criminals and prevent them from escaping with the loot. Surveillance cameras recorded the attack, and the sales staff quickly hid customers in a back room. In the end, the offenders took only two gold chains worth 19 thousand rubles, and were later detained.

A brazen robbery in Irkutsk. In broad daylight, two robbers burst into a jewelry store. Everything that happened was captured by surveillance cameras.
At around 4:00 p.m. on May 6, two youths showed up at the branded salon of the Irkutsk Jewelry Factory. At the time of the attack, there were 7 customers and 3 salespeople in the small sales room of the jewelry store. One of them pulled out an Osa pistol and shot the security guard in the chest. The second at that moment jumped over the counter to grab the jewelry displayed on the shelves.
The footage shows that one of the criminals had come to the store earlier disguised as an ordinary customer. When his accomplice burst in with a weapon, he jumped over the display case and grabbed quite a large number of pieces of jewelry, which, as it later turned out, amounted to half a million rubles.
Despite the chest wound, the security guard, Roman Kazakov, drove the armed criminal out, locked the door, and would not let his accomplice out. A fight broke out, the criminal dropped the jewelry, visitors picked it up and later returned it to the salespeople.. However, the chest injury did not allow Roman to stop the attacker. However, the second criminal returned, smashed the glass door and, although not on the first try, still managed to free his accomplice.
The young saleswomen at the jewelry salon also acted bravely. They immediately sheltered all the customers in the store’s back room. And thanks to the surveillance cameras, photos of the attackers are now in every police station.
In the end, their haul consisted of only two gold chains. Later, the two suspects were detained; according to them, they acted on the tip-off of certain older associates.
- Thanks to Roman’s actions, the robbers were practically unable to take away any jewelry, - says the director of the Irkutsk Jewelry Factory, Evgeny Borzykh. - They managed to steal jewelry worth only 19,000 rubles. Roman’s health is not in danger now. When he recovers, we will nominate him for a bonus.
