In the Angara region, they plan to build a new regional library building, since the current collections are housed in three premises. The project is ready, the site chosen, and construction is expected to begin in summer. The cost is about 580 million rubles. The new building should be an important step for one of the region's oldest and largest reading institutions, whose history survived a fire and the collapse of the old building.

"The oldest and one of the largest reading institutions in the Angara region, founded in 1861, burned down at the end of the 19th century. The fire destroyed all the collections. In 1996, the building collapsed. Now the books from the regional library are housed in three premises, so a new building is simply necessary," Baryshnikov explained.
The construction will be carried out on a co-financing basis with the federal budget under the "Culture of Russia" program.
"The total cost of the new library building is estimated at about 580 million rubles," Baryshnikov said.
According to him, the design and estimate documentation is already ready, the site has been determined, and construction itself is planned to begin in the summer.
