On June 26, 2009, Irkutsk will host the annual slingshot shooting tournament at a stationary target, organized by the literary community of Irkutsk Podonki. The competition will take place on the steps to the Angara River, opposite the monument to Alexander III, and is dedicated to June 22, 1941. Participants are invited to bring their own slingshots and join the unusual event.

Annual Slingshot Shooting Tournament
On June 26, 2009, at 18:00 on the steps down to the Angara River, opposite the monument to Alexander III, in the city of Irkutsk, the traditional Slingshot Shooting Tournament at a stationary fascist target will take place. The tournament is organized by the literary community of the Irkutsk Scum and is dedicated to June 22, 1941 (the day of Nazi Germany’s attack on the Soviet Union). So everyone be there… With slingshots!
