Players of Baikal-Energiya played their first training match — against their own reserve team.
This year, the main squad of the Irkutsk side has a new addition — midfielder Maksim Koshelev returned to the team after a year-long break.
According to Baikal-Energiya head coach Yevgeny Yerakhtin, there was a sense of carelessness in the main squad’s play from the very start of the match. Nevertheless, the hockey players proved their advantage over the reserves already in the tenth minute. Maksim Koshelev scored the goal.
Yevgeny Yerakhtin was not satisfied with his players’ performance.
The players and their coach do not have all that much time left. On Saturday, November 8, the final stage of the Russian bandy Cup will begin in Moscow. In the quarterfinals, the Irkutsk side’s opponent is Ulyanovsk’s Volga. As Baikal-Energiya captain Konstantin Savchenko noted, the players are determined to show their best game.
Baikal-Energiya finished the match against its reserve club with an 8:1 score. Roman Murzin alone scored four goals. Today, the annual hockey tournament for the prizes of the Baikal-Energiya club started at Rekord Stadium. Over the course of three days, four teams will take to the ice, including guests from Chita. The hockey celebration will conclude on November 8.
