The “Alley of Friendship” was planted the day before by participants of the 5th International Children’s Forum of Asia-Pacific countries, “My Profession Is My Future.” As part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Irkutsk Region, in the Kayskaya relict grove, representatives of eight delegations from Japan, China, Mongolia, South Korea, Krasnoyarsk and Zabaykalsky Krais, the Republic of Buryatia, and the Irkutsk Region planted seventy-five Siberian pines. High school students from the forum’s participating countries noted that planting trees is a noble deed and an act of reconciliation with nature. By planting a tree, a person compensates for the damage they cause to it. The program of the International Children’s Forum of Asia-Pacific countries traditionally includes planting the “Alley of Friendship.”
