In Irkutsk, a procedure was approved to reward residents who help police maintain public order. Criteria include participating in raids, preventive work with former convicts, families in socially dangerous situations, minors, and anti drug events. A special commission will decide on awards, and the reward will be a valuable gift.

The corresponding resolution was signed by the Mayor of Irkutsk, Viktor Kondrashov. As stated in the relevant regulation, the main criteria for evaluating the activities of the person proposed for recognition are: participation with police officers in patrols to ensure public order, and the conduct of preventive measures with persons released from places of deprivation of liberty. Participation in preventive measures with families in socially dangerous situations, unemployed and non-studying minors, as well as in anti-drug prevention patrols, is also taken into account.
The decision to reward representatives of the public who participate in maintaining public order is made by a special commission upon the request of deputies or heads of district administrations. The commission meets at least once a month. It includes deputy mayors, heads of district administration committees, employees of the public safety department of the Irkutsk administration, and police representatives. The form of reward is a valuable gift.
