In the Ust-Ilimsky district, traffic police said some drivers try to evade stricter tinting rules by using removable silicone film and even double side windows. But such tricks do not save them from liability, since July 1 more than 70 violations have been found. The traffic police note that most car owners remove the film right after the inspector's warning, so license plates have not yet been revoked.

Employees of the traffic police note that some drivers, in connection with the tightening of the rules, resort to various tricks. They have begun using reusable silicone tint film, which they remove before a traffic police checkpoint or at the request of a traffic police officer, and then stick it back onto the window. There are also those who install double side windows. These inventive citizens are still held liable, since fixing the defect does not exempt them from a fine.
As is known, since July 1 the punishment for drivers for excessive tinting of the windshield and front side windows of cars has been tightened. On the territory of the Ust-Ilimsky District, more than 70 cases of glass light transmittance exceeding the standard have been identified during this time.
“Most drivers remove the tint film from their cars immediately after a remark made to them by traffic police inspectors,” commented the results of the work carried out by the police State Traffic Inspector Alexander Bochkaryov. “Therefore, there are currently no car owners in the district who have had their state registration plates revoked for excessive tinting.
Identifying violations of the technical regulations is not easy. Initially, the inspector visually determines the presence of excessive tinting on the vehicle, stops its driver, and makes the necessary measurements using a special device. In the flow of traffic, a police officer can notice that the side windows of a car are tinted only when it has already passed by.
