In Irkutsk, the head of the Mishutka child care group, Valentina Tarasova, received a grant of 253 thousand rubles to develop her business and open a new kindergarten in Novo-Lenino. The funds will be used to buy equipment, and the new premises will house a gym and music room, then they plan to get a license for educational activities. The article also tells about other recipients of city support and how the administration helps socially oriented business.

At a meeting of the Supervisory Board for the Support of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the city of Irkutsk, the head of the “Mishutka” child care and supervision group, Valentina Tarasova, received a grant free of charge. The subsidy in the amount of 253 thousand rubles was allocated at the initial stage of business development to reimburse the costs of acquiring fixed assets. The entrepreneur plans to open a new kindergarten in the Novo-Lenino microdistrict, where the waiting list for preschool institutions is the longest.
“I opened the ‘Mishutka’ child care and supervision group to solve the problem of caring for and raising my child. While working with children, I realized that it was necessary to expand the range of services and improve their quality,” Valentina Tarasova told the members of the Supervisory Board. “The new premises in Novo-Lenino will make it possible to accommodate both a gym and a music group. The goal is to obtain a license for educational activities.”
Valentina Tarasova noted that she learned about the subsidy on the city administration’s website. It was not difficult to prepare the documents to receive it. A major renovation is already underway in the premises of the future kindergarten. At present, the prices for the services of the “Mishutka” child care and supervision group amount to 10.5 thousand rubles per month.
This is already the fourth entrepreneur to receive support from the city budget in 2012 for the development of such a business.
As Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Committee on Economics Alexey Almukhamedov said, one of the priority areas of business support is support for socially oriented businesses.
“It is difficult for such projects to get off the ground, and here budget assistance comes at the right time. When evaluating projects, members of the Supervisory Board also take into account the prospect of creating new jobs and pay attention to what the funds are being directed toward. This subsidy will be used to purchase equipment for the kindergarten,” Alexey Almukhamedov emphasized.
The Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Irkutsk Business Development Agency” also received a subsidy from the city budget to reimburse part of the costs associated with providing services. In 2012, the organization provided informational and consulting support to small and medium-sized businesses, and conducted training sessions and seminars on conducting export activities for entrepreneurs in international markets.
In total, 5 applications for subsidies from the city budget were considered at the Supervisory Board meeting. Two of them will be reviewed again by the board members. One of the enterprises that applied for a subsidy was denied. As a reminder, since July 2012 the city administration has introduced a new form of support — a subsidy for starting one’s own business. The maximum amount of support under it is 150 thousand rubles. For consultations on issues of providing support to entrepreneurs, please contact 14 Lenin St., office 420, tel. 52-02-88.
