On August 24 and 25, trolleybus routes in Irkutsk will temporarily change.

Due to a water main break on Sverdlov Street in Irkutsk, traffic will be temporarily changed. Part of the road will be closed from August 24 to 25. Several trolleybus routes will be affected. Some trips will end earlier, and some will take detours, skipping some stops. Details on times and new routes will help plan the trip in advance.

The reason for the change in traffic was a water main break at 23a Sverdlova St. In connection with this, on Sverdlova St. in the section from Sukhe-Bator St. to Lenina St., vehicular traffic will be partially closed from 10:00 p.m. on August 24 to 10:00 a.m. on August 25.
On August 24, trolleybus routes No. 4 “Sverdlova St. – Airport”, No. 5 “Sverdlova St. – Solnechny residential area”, No. 7 “Sverdlova St. – Pervomaisky residential area”, No. 8 “Sverdlova St. – Yubileiny residential area” to Kirov Square (Sverdlova St.) will operate until 9:33 p.m. (last departures from Sverdlova St.: route No. 7 – 9:18 p.m., route No. 8 – 9:29 p.m., routes Nos. 4 and 5 – 9:33 p.m.).
On August 25 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., trolleybus route No. 4 “Airport – Sverdlova St.”, when traveling from the airport after Sovetskaya St., will operate via Baikalskaya St., Zhukov Ave. to the Solnechny residential area; from the Solnechny residential area – via Zhukov Ave., Baikalskaya St., Sovetskaya St. to the airport. The stops “Musical Theater”, “Lenina St.”, “Art Museum”, “Kirov Square” (in both directions) will be excluded. The stop “Puppet Theater” (when traveling to the city center) will be moved from Sovetskaya St. to Baikalskaya St. to the location of the existing bus and trolleybus stop.
Trolleybus route No. 7 “Pervomaisky residential area – Sverdlova St.”, when traveling from the Pervomaisky residential area, will operate to the “Volzhskaya St.” stop, then – from the “Volzhskaya St.” stop.
Trolleybus route No. 8 “Yubileiny residential area – Sverdlova St.”, when traveling from the Yubileiny residential area, will operate to the “Volzhskaya St.” stop; then – from the “Volzhskaya St.” stop to the Yubileiny residential area.
