In Irkutsk, a program for building new social facilities was approved, schools will appear on Lenskaya, Bagrationa and Deputatskaya streets, and sports and recreation complexes with pools in several districts of the city. In addition, each district plans to build at least two new kindergartens to ease schools, reduce queues for preschool institutions and develop affordable sports infrastructure. The total funding will be 5 billion 193 thousand rubles.
According to the program, new schools will appear on Lenskaya, Bagrationa, and Deputatskaya streets. Sports and recreation complexes with swimming pools will be built on Ryabikova Boulevard, in the Yubileyny microdistrict, on Tomsona and Bratskaya streets, and in the Lesnoy microdistrict on Rozhdestvenskaya Street. At least two new preschool institutions will appear in each district of Irkutsk.The program’s funding will amount to 5 billion 193 thousand rubles.
As noted by the deputy mayor, chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning Policy of the Irkutsk city administration, Evgeny Devochkin, the construction of the above-mentioned facilities will make it possible to relieve schools, reduce the queue for kindergartens, and create accessible sports infrastructure in Irkutsk.
