Open House Days will be held on September 21 and 22 at the regional tax offices

In the Irkutsk region on September 21 and 22 tax offices will hold open days for property tax payers, for property, transport and land. Citizens will be told about new payment deadlines, a single tax notice, and applications will be accepted if errors or inaccuracies are found in the calculations. On these days it will be possible to get explanations, clarify charges and take payment receipts.

During the period when citizens pay property taxes, which include property tax, transport tax, and land tax, the region’s tax inspectorates will hold Open House Days on September 21 and 22.
As we were informed by the Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Irkutsk Region, this year has brought taxpayers several changes at once.
First, by October 1 they must receive a single tax notice listing the taxable objects, tax base, rates, and benefits. Separate payment slips for each tax are attached to it.
Along with the notice, a form for an application will be sent, which can be mailed to the inspectorate, sent via the Internet, or brought in person if an error or inaccuracy is found in the calculations.
The letters will be sent from the city of Kemerovo, where the Property Tax Data Processing Center is located, serving the entire Siberian Federal District.
The tax payment deadlines have changed — for all taxes they fall at the beginning of November. For property tax and land tax, they are set by decisions of local self-government bodies. According to regional law, transport tax must be paid no later than November 5.
For the second year already, all territorial tax inspectorates have been working until 8:00 p.m. two days a week, and on two more Saturdays a month — from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During the Open House Days, property tax payers are invited to come on Friday, September 21 — from 08:30 to 20:00, and on Saturday, September 22 — from 09:00 to 18:00. Tax inspectors will answer all citizens’ questions about the assessed taxes, accept clarifications, and issue payment slips.
