The results of the children’s drawing contest “Tram in the City of the Future” have been summed up at the MUP “Gorelektrotrans.” The campaign was announced among the pupils of the OGKU “Center for Assistance to Children Left Without Parental Care.” More than 30 entries were submitted: drawings in paints, pencils, and markers, as well as crafts made from various materials. The contestants were invited to a celebration organized at “Gorelektrotrans” to mark the end of the contest. Children aged 5 to 15 came to the enterprise. The winners were awarded prizes: for first place – a camera (two winners), second place – watches (two winners), third – MP3 players (four winners). A concert was arranged for the guests, in which the children themselves also took part. After tea, the children were taken on a tour of the city on a retro tram. On the way to the railway station and back, a professional guide talked about the history of Irkutsk, about famous merchants, and about how certain street names came to be.“Last year we already held a social campaign with the orphanage. All the employees of the enterprise support this, collecting donations for gifts for the children. We will try to hold such campaigns every year,” said Oleg Lapovok, deputy director of MUP “Gorelektrotrans.”
The guests from the “Center for Assistance to Children Left Without Parental Care” were pleased with the celebration arranged for them and invited the employees of MUP “Gorelektrotrans” to visit them in return.
