More than 5 billion rubles from the city budget will go to the program Construction of social facilities for 2013 2017. Three general education schools for 1,110 students, three institutions of additional education, 8 physical culture and recreation complexes, a sports hall, and 13 kindergartens for 2,420 students are planned to be built over the next five years in Irkutsk as part of the long-term target program “Construction of Social Infrastructure Facilities for 2013-2017.”
As Deputy Mayor, Chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning Policy of the Irkutsk Administration Yevgeny Devochkin said, 5 billion 193 thousand rubles are planned to be allocated from the Irkutsk budget over five years for the construction of new institutions.
Of this amount, 939.3 million rubles will go to the construction of general education institutions, 742 million rubles to additional education facilities; 1.673 billion rubles to preschool educational institutions, and 1.672 billion rubles to the construction of physical culture and sports facilities. “The implementation of the program measures will make it possible to reduce the load on schools, ensure that they meet modern requirements, reduce the number of children waiting in line for kindergarten places, and increase the provision of sports halls and swimming pools for the population of Irkutsk,” the document says.
As Yevgeny Devochkin noted, all facilities are planned to be built on vacant land plots or on plots cleared after the resettlement and demolition of apartment buildings.
The customer for the construction will be the Municipal Budgetary Institution UKS of Irkutsk.
At the same time, Yevgeny Devochkin emphasized, all settlements with contractors will be made after the facilities are put into operation. This measure will make it possible to avoid unscrupulous contractors.
