Irkutsk Duma deputies decided to increase funding for the KVN team Raisy after its successful reach to the 2012 Higher League final. Extra funds will cover flights, lodging, room rental in Moscow for rehearsals, and props before the final game on December 21. Duma chairman Andrey Labygin said the team needs support and it helps develop KVN in Irkutsk.

This decision was made by the deputies at a Duma meeting.
The need to increase funding is related to the team’s successful performance in the Major League of the International KVN Union and its reaching the final of the 2012 season, with the need for further participation in the games. The funds provided will go toward airfare for team members, accommodation, rental of premises in Moscow for rehearsals, and props. The final game will take place in Moscow on December 21.
“The KVN team ‘Raisy’ has achieved serious results, and support from the city is simply necessary here. In this way, we are developing a movement that is popular in Irkutsk and throughout the world, KVN,” said Duma Chairman Andrey Labygin.
