In Irkutsk, Marina Karmadanova has been appointed the new director of the municipal autonomous institution Food Plant, and has already taken up her duties and met with staff. Her top priorities are modernization and automation of production, workshop repairs, and solving the staffing shortage. Details on her experience and how the plant developed under the previous head are in the article.

Marina Karmadanova has been appointed director of the municipal autonomous institution “Irkutsk City Food Service Plant.” She began her duties on October 25. On October 26, the food service plant was visited by Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Culture of the Irkutsk City Administration Igor Borisov.
He spoke with the plant’s employees for an hour and a half, and then inspected the workshops of the institution.
“Today my task is to introduce the new head,” Igor Borisov noted. “Marina Sergeevna is a young specialist, well prepared in matters of organizing children’s nutrition. The conversation with the staff produced many specific, practical proposals that will make it possible to form a plan of priority management decisions.”
As Marina Karmadanova said, the food service plant needs modernization and automation, as well as repairs to the workshops and the plant as a whole. In addition, the enterprise has a shortage of specialists due to low wages. The new head attaches top priority to these issues.
Marina Sergeevna has worked in the public catering sector, including children’s catering, for more than 8 years. In the spring of 2005, she was hired by the Irkutsk food service plant as head of production; a month later she was transferred to the position of commodity specialist, and then deputy director for production. She worked at the food service plant for 4 years. Since January 2010, Marina Karmadanova had overseen the nutrition of students and children in the Irkutsk District.
Ludmila Leonova, who had headed the food service plant since 2004, left the post due to the expiration of her employment contract. During her time in office, the plant became one of the city’s leading production institutions in the field of children’s and school meals. In addition, she paid much attention to promoting healthy eating, introducing the special course “A Conversation About Proper Nutrition” in the city’s schools.
