A group of proactive Irkutsk residents, with the help of social networks, gathered several dozen volunteers who helped the police in searching for missing persons. Over time, the volunteer helpers formed the “Volunteer-Irkutsk” squad. At present, this youth formation numbers eight people, and about twenty more young people are ready to join the search for missing citizens if necessary.
Vladimir Kharitonov and his like-minded colleagues, over the course of the squad’s existence, have found or assisted the police in finding nearly twenty citizens. As was noted at the presentation of the letter of appreciation, the volunteer squad is a reliable assistant to the police in searching for missing persons.
