In Irkutsk, police uncovered another underground slot machine parlor operating in the Angara hotel and hidden behind a cafe entrance. In the basement, 23 working machines were found, but the hall was empty by the time of the check. This is the second illegal gaming club shut down in the past week. Earlier, 12 machines and 2 poker tables were seized on Krasnogo Vosstaniya Street. All seized items were sent for examination, and police continue daily raids to find such venues.
Operational information that an illegal slot machine parlor was operating in the area of Kirov Square was received the day before by the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Directorate for the city of Irkutsk.During the inspection, it was found that a gambling establishment did indeed exist in one of the premises of the Angara Hotel building. Entry to it was through a café. In the basement level, police officers discovered 23 operating slot machines. However, there were no representatives of the administration or visitors in the hall. As the police believe, all of them hurried to leave the premises through emergency exits shortly before the arrival of the officers.
