In Kirov Square in Irkutsk, installation of the citys main 25 meter Christmas tree has begun. Specialists are assembling the metal frame and preparing the lights. Work should finish by December 20, and the tree opening is set for December 22. At the same time, the city is preparing an ice park on the theme Tales of the North. Construction will begin in early December when the reservoir freezes solid. This year all ice figures will be lit, and the tree will be decorated with glowing stars and garlands.
On November 16, installation of the city’s main Christmas tree began in Kirov Square. Work is now underway to assemble the metal frame of the 25-meter New Year beauty. This was reported by the MAU “Holiday.”The day before assembly, specialists inspected the fastenings and decorations. All work on assembling the tree and installing the illumination is planned to be completed by December 20.
Although new lighting elements were purchased to decorate the city’s main Christmas tree, its design will not differ significantly from last year’s. It will also be decorated with glowing stars and garlands.
As soon as solid ice forms on the Irkutsk reservoir, the procurement of material for the ice town will begin. For now, its construction is scheduled for early December. This year it will be dedicated to the theme “Tales of the North.” All ice figures will be illuminated.
