In Irkutsk, the merger of municipal road enterprises continues. Spetsavtotrans has already become part of Irkutskavtodor, along with its property complex. This cut costs, raised pay, and improved equipment use. Soon the Asphalt Concrete Plant will join too.

“A fairly significant saving was made on the administrative and management apparatus. Thanks to this, it became possible to introduce incentive bonuses and raise employees’ salaries. In addition to optimizing the economic component, with the merger we also achieved greater efficiency in road cleaning — in terms of distributing equipment across the city,” commented Radik Farazutdinov, director of the municipal unitary enterprise “Irkutskavtodor.”
In addition to the transfer of the personnel of “Spetsavtotrans,” the enterprise’s property complex has also been transferred to the merged “Irkutskavtodor.”
The merger process does not end there. Another municipal unitary enterprise — the “Asphalt Concrete Plant” — will soon become part of MUP “Irkutskavtodor.” At present, the enterprise’s work is seasonal in nature — in winter, employees and equipment are underutilized. After the merger, the ACP will be involved in city maintenance work in winter.
