Investors selected by tender are restoring houses on Dzerzhinskogo, Sofyi Perovskoy, Kozhova and Barrikad streets.
According to the Irkutsk mayor’s office, citing the Irkutsk Monuments Development Agency (ARPI), restoration is under way at heritage sites at 8 Dzerzhinskogo Street, 20b Sofyi Perovskoy Street, 28 Kozhova Street and 27 Barrikad Street.
Investors are chosen by tender. They pay for the purchase of the building and its plot, the design, the expert review and the restoration, while the agency helps with documents, organisational matters and the choice of contractors. Once the building is commissioned it becomes the investor’s property. The same announcement said that the restoration of the house at 4 Depovsky Lane had been completed and that the building at 16a Zhelyabova Street was close to completion.
