Restoring the mansions on Trilissera and Baikalskaya streets took four years.
Two wooden houses on Trilissera and Baikalskaya streets have been restored under the direction of Tatyana Fomina; the work took four years. One house from the 1880s had been badly damaged by fire before it was bought: the restorers measured what was left and rebuilt the foundations, walls, roof and other elements, and connected utilities. It now houses a coffee shop.
The second building, also from the 1880s, was part of the estate of I. I. Shalamov. Its restoration began in 2023: the owner kept most of the original materials, replaced the foundations, roof and façade boarding and recreated the historic window frames. Carpenters and carvers restored the window surrounds, shutters and the pierced metal decoration on the gables. According to Tatyana Fomina, the city now has one more historic building.
