“The Movement of Centuries Suits You”: the archive and museum show the face of Irkutsk for its 365th anniversary

More than 50 exhibits: design plans of buildings, works by artists and materials on the history of the city’s coat of arms.

For the 365th anniversary of Irkutsk, specialists from the city state archive and the Museum of the History of the City prepared the historical and documentary exhibition “The Movement of Centuries Suits You”. It opened in the museum’s history department at 16a Frank-Kamenetskogo Street and ran until 24 June 2026.

The more than 50 exhibits include archival documents, works by artists, design plans of buildings and materials on the history of the Irkutsk coat of arms. At the opening the book “Irkutsk, My Love” was presented, illustrated by the artist and journalist Leonid Lobanovich, whose graphic chronicle covers the 1920s and 1930s.
