Two halls tell the history of the courts since 1864 and the work of today’s judges. Tours are for organised groups by appointment.

On 28 November 2024 the renovated exhibition of the museum of the judicial system of the Angara region opened in the Irkutsk Regional Court. The opening was timed to Lawyer’s Day and the 160th anniversary of the judicial reform. The museum was founded in 2007; its modernisation began in 2023 and took more than a year.

The first hall is devoted to the history of the courts since 1864, the second to the present day. The exhibits include archival court documents, badges, rare pre-revolutionary publications, photographs and personal belongings of 19th-century judges. Many of the documents were in poor condition, and the Molchanov-Sibirsky Library helped to restore them. On the same day the regional state archive opened the exhibition “Without Anger or Partiality” about the courts of Irkutsk Governorate.

Tours are held only for organised groups by prior arrangement through the court’s press office: (3952) 215-007.
