On 6 September the estate hosted themed venues, a free VR cinema and the master class “Baikal Loaf”.
On 6 September 2026 Irkutsk celebrated the Day of Baikal. From 12:00 the V. P. Sukachev Estate hosted themed venues: scientists gave lectures about Baikal, the impact of tourists on the lake’s ecosystem and its animals; there was a quiz and a master class on making the art object “Baikal Loaf”, a free VR cinema, and in the evening a “Night of Sidewalk Astronomy”.
On Yunost Island the concert “Melodies of Baikal” took place on the Rakushka stage from 13:00 to 16:00. Events were also held in the districts of the region, including Slyudyansky and Olkhonsky.
