Rosselkhoznadzor suspended the IGSKhA student catering plant after a shocking inspection, inspectors found peeling paint in food pots, dirt, mouse droppings and gross food storage violations. The cafeteria was given five days to fix all issues, and inspectors said they had never seen such a state of public catering before.
Employees of Rosselkhoznadzor inspected the student catering facility of the ISKHA. What they saw so shocked the inspectors that they ordered it to be shut down immediately. In the kitchen where food was being prepared, paint from the ceilings and walls is flaking off directly into the pots of food. Dirt and mouse droppings are everywhere. In the same food unit, there is also a security post. Bread without packaging is stored in a dirty bathtub and on windowsills next to the staff’s outerwear. Employees of Rosselkhoznadzor suspended the catering facility’s operations for five days. During this time, the cafeteria management must eliminate all violations.
- The raw materials being used, the meat, do not have documents confirming their quality, but the worst thing is the condition of the premises themselves. Right here there are storage rooms, and mouse droppings as well, complete unsanitary conditions. In all our years of work, we are encountering such public catering for the first time, - says Danil Minchenok, Deputy Head of the Veterinary Supervision Department of the Irkutsk Administration of Rosselkhoznadzor.
