The adobe walls were strengthened with a reinforced-concrete frame in order to keep the original material.

On 4th Sovetskaya Street the restoration of the house where the architect Vladislav Kudelsky lived in the second half of the 19th century is nearing completion. A developer bought the plot on condition that the monument be restored.

The façade of the house is built of adobe blocks made of clay, water and straw. To preserve the original material, engineers took the building apart, strengthened it with a reinforced-concrete frame and put it back together. Sewerage, heating and electricity have been installed, and the grounds around it are being landscaped. The work is financed by a private investor under the supervision of the regional monuments protection service.
