The final stage of restoration of this late-18th-century Siberian Baroque monument has been accepted: the façades, plinth and apron have been renewed.

The Irkutsk Region heritage protection service has accepted the final stage of work on the Kharlampievsky Church, the naval Cathedral of the Archangel Michael. The façades, plinth and drainage apron have been renewed. The church was built at the end of the 18th century in the Siberian Baroque style and is a monument of federal significance.

The work was paid for under the regional programme that subsidises the restoration of religious buildings: it covers 75% of the estimated cost, and in 2025 7.2 million roubles were allocated for this purpose. The revival of the church began in 2006. The rector, Archpriest Yevgeny Startsev, said that after 20 years of repair and restoration work the building had acquired its finished appearance.
