More than 20 venues in Irkutsk, Listvyanka and Baikalsk have received certificates as members of the new route.
A gastronomic route, “Tea Map”, has been launched in Irkutsk. It was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia with the support of the mayor’s office; its author is Vladimir Salovarov, executive director of the Baikal International Partners Forum, where the project was presented.
It is an electronic guide to venues serving signature tea: the website collects recipes and tells about Siberian tea-drinking traditions and Irkutsk’s role on the Great Tea Road. More than 20 venues in Irkutsk, Listvyanka and Baikalsk have already received member certificates. The organisers plan to set up an expert panel and hold tastings to choose the best places.
